How do you get AI to generate UI that actually feels designed?

I’m building a dashboard-style app (React + Tailwind), mostly focused on content consumption, and I’ve been trying to use AI to generate the UI directly in code. The issue is… everything looks “fine”, but nothing feels designed . It’s always clean spacing decent components modern-ish look …but: no strong hierarchy no real visual meaning no sense of product thinking behind it It feels like a okayish design, not like something a real designer crafted.
